TFC Tops List of United Way Supported Organizations in Kansas City
Each year, the Kansas City Business Journal releases a list of Kansas City’s top 25 United Way recipients. The Family Conservancy (TFC) ranked number one for the second consecutive year, with total 2015 allocations* of $1,071,973.
“The funding TFC receives from United Way is integral to the work we do. It impacts everything we do, from supporting families, caregivers and teachers in preparing children for success in school and life to providing mental health care for underserved populations. We’re grateful for our community United Ways and for the ongoing support from thousand of Kansas Citians who invest in their community through them.” commented TFC President and CEO Dean Olson.
The following table shows 2015 United Way investments by TFC program and their impact.
* Allocations are totaled funds from United Way of Greater Kansas City and United Way of Wyandotte County. The above total is comprised of donor-designated gifts to the agency through United Way, grant allocations (above), and contracts the agency partners with United Way to provide, such as Successful Partnerships to Assure Readiness for Kindergarten (SPARK) in Wyandotte County.
