TFC Launches New Partnership with Sesame Street

Partnership Brings Sesame Street Resources to Kansas City

New Partnership Brings Sesame Street Resources to Kansas City Parents and Caregivers

In 2018, The Family Conservancy (TFC) supported the healthy development of more than 60,000 children, provided almost 7,000 teachers and caregivers training and coaching, and helped more than 22,000 parents become better teachers and caregivers. We had a lot of allies in this work — thousands of amazing teachers and child care providers, students, parents, funders and partners. We’re really excited to announce our newest ally, Sesame Street in Communities.

“TFC helps parents and teachers improve their ability to take advantage of amazing opportunities that exist early in life, when critical brain development occurs. Through this new partnership, our coaches, trainers and mental health professionals can increase engagement by integrating Sesame Street in Communities’ high-quality content into our work.” said TFC president and CEO Dean Olson.

Parents, caregivers and providers are frequently faced with tough questions and difficult decisions, through this new partnership they will have access to a library of resources to help address difficult topics and support healthy child development. The videos, activities, printables, and digital interactives feature the friendly, furry Sesame Street Muppets and create meaningfully engagement with kids during everyday moments. The site covers a wide range of topics, from school readiness to building healthy habits to tough issues such as divorce and hunger.
