Shelli Lee

Minds-on Learning: Cultivating Curiosity

The field of early childhood has changed in recent years as the world around young children places higher demands on what is expected of them. Lee’s keynote will explore ways to cultivate curiosity through active learning and discovery.

About Shelli Lee

Shelli Lee is an early childhood educator in Higginsville, Missouri. Over the last 24 years, she has worked as a behavioral para, an elementary and early childhood special education teacher, early childhood teacher, and Parents as Teachers educator.

In 2008, Lee was the first early childhood teacher to be a finalist for Missouri Teacher of the Year. Her most honored accomplishment is the recognition she received from her preschoolers as “The 2008 World’s Greatest Teacher Forever”.
