As a Head Start Behavioral Health Program Support Specialist, you provide essential behavioral support services for our Head Start and Early Head Start programs. You support the behavioral health needs of children in the classroom and implement appropriate interventions as assigned. Following the Infant and Early Childhood Consultation model, you use provided resources to support staff, parents, and children. You work collaboratively to mitigate behavioral health problems and developmental delays in children ages birth - 5 years old.

Additionally, you cooperate with staff on referral and follow-up consultation support services. You work with parents on reinforcing conscious discipline supports in the home environment. To assist with public relations, you represent us in the community and help recruit clients. You keep up-to-date and accurate records of all services provided, assessments completed, observations, and ongoing recommendations. You find working to promote the well-being of children to be highly rewarding!
