Developing Learners – Using and Understanding Milestones (Online)

Tuesday, June 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (2.0 hours)

Developmental milestones are clues about when children might develop a cognitive or physical skill or be able to complete a task. These checkpoints help us as educators create opportunities and plans for those we care for to help them grow and develop. In this session we will examine some of the established milestones and tools used to identify them. We will look at how children play, learn, speak act and move as they develop and the importance of making individual and group plans to support growth and development using established milestones as a guide.
