If you're thinking of starting a child care program in your home, your first step would be to contact your county licensing agency.

Next, consider participating in our "Developing Your Family Child Care Business" course.  We'll help you combine important early education skills with business fundamentals.  You will gain tools for financial stability while you design a business plan.

Our Resource Lending Libraries also have a wealth of information to start you on your way.

This series is available for Continuing Education Credits and college credit through the Kansas City Kansas Community College for an additional cost.  

Who is eligible
Licensed, unlicensed and potential child care providers are eligible.
