Helping Your Child Succeed in School | Print |  E-mail
  • Be positive. Have faith in your teens as they face new challenges in middle and high school.
  • Be respectful. Show respect for your child’s teachers and develop positive relationships with them.
  • Get involved. Attend school events and teacher conferences. It will show your child, and the school, that you care.
  • Make learning a priority. Help your teen establish a daily routine and quiet place for school work. And turn off the TV!
  • Value effort. Encourage your child to do their best. Praise improvements, and don’t compare your child’s grades with another.
  • Maintain routines. Good nutrition and a good night’s sleep will make your child a better student.
