Don't let sunburn or pool fears keep your child from getting outdoors and enjoying this summer.  Some tips on the two biggest things to consider for keeping your kids safe in the summer sun.

Sun Safety
  • Seek shade during 10am-4pm
  • Cover up
  • Use sun screen consistently
  • Use protective eye wear

Pool Safety
  • Never leave your children alone in or near the pool
  • Practice touch supervision with children younger than 5 years
  • Do not use air-filled "swimming aids" as a substitute for approved life vests.
  • Keep children away from pool drains, pipes and other openings to avoid entrapment
