Children need lots of opportunity for outdoor play, but unfortunately, many childhood injuries happen on the playground.  Tune in to Fox 4 to hear our parenting expert give some tips on keeping your children safe on the playground.

• 200,000 injures per year on playgrounds
• Most injuries are due to falls
• 40% of injuries are due to lack of supervision
• Serious accidents can occur due to loose clothing

Keeping Children Safe

• Choose playgrounds with soft surfaces
• Match equipment with child’s age
• Teach your child to wait his or her turn
• Be sure to dress your child appropriately
