Orientation to Accreditation
Learn about National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) accreditation.

Phone Consultation with Trained Accreditation Specialists
Accreditation Facilitation Project staff are available to provide phone support concerning the NAFCC accreditation process.

Monthly Support Group Meetings
All Family Child Care Accreditation Facilitation Project participants attend support group meetings monthly. These meetings provide the participants with the opportunity to discuss NAFCC quality standards, share quality improvement ideas, network, and learn about various resources available to them in their communities as well as the greater metropolitan area. NAFCC accredited providers also attend these meetings, which allow providers in the accreditation self-study process to gain invaluable tips and insights into the accreditation process. 

On-site Technical Assistance
Accreditation specialist will visit selected programs to provide feedback and mentoring on NAFCC quality standards. 

Early Accreditation Support
Early Accreditation Support enables family providers to move forward in the accreditation process. Early Accreditation Support also helps providers build on their existing knowledge as they move toward ensuring quality care for children. Early Accreditation Support services include:

  • Phone consultation
  • A copy of NAFCC standards

Re-accreditation Support
NAFCC accredited family providers seeking support for the re-accreditation process can receive the following support services:

  • Phone or on-site technical assistance
  • Support group meetings
