“When I began to be involved in the Kansas City community I decided my volunteer efforts would be focused on our church and organizations that supported families. I never dreamed that my association with The Family Conservancy would last from 1976 to today. Although there have been many changes, TFC’s mission has always remained strong – working with Kansas City area families and children to provide much needed support and services. I have been extremely blessed to be part of such a wonderful effort. To continue our involvement we have included The Family Conservancy in our estate plans. Planned giving is a much overlooked and an incredibly easy way to help perpetuate the work of wonderful organizations such as The Family Conservancy. By the way, my other legacy to TFC is that our oldest son (who has 4 children) is now on the board
“I first learned about The Family Conservancy in 2003. I have always had a passion for children and families and really wanted to find a way to support that mission. As I learned more about the mission, the clients, the donors and the staff,I continued to be impressed. Each year I designate my United Way pledge to The Family Conservancy. I also am proud to say that I have participated in the annual fundraiser every year and always bring friends with me to learn more about the amazing work of this organization. I consider myself not only a donor but a friend and advocate, having referred more than a few family and friends to the sevices provided by The Family Conservancy. Thank you for changing my life and the lives of others!”
"I am a true fan of Talk, Read, Play, The Family Conservancy and all involved. Our volunteers just caught fire with this project. Many are retired early elementary school educators who understand the impact TRP can make."
