Available Positions

Bilingual Head Start Home-Based Specialist

Conducts home visits with with children birth to five and their families, intake assessments, and is responsible for case management, family advocacy and education to families in an assigned caseload.  Serves as the primary contact for families providing parenting and child development information as well as sharing responsibility for parent involvement in the program.




Bilingual Practitioner II & Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist

Provides in-home cognitive behavioral therapy to eligible enrolled mothers of the Wyandotte County Maternal, Infant & Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV).  Supports the program's overall goals and objectives in the provision of mental health training, assessment, and consultation services; represents The Family Conservancy and the mental health profession in a positive and professional manner.



Head Start Fiscal Coordinator

Assists in effective fiscal planning and management of the Head Start program according to established standards. Provides training and technical assistance in all areas of Head Start financial management including determining problem areas, assisting in compliance with standards, reviewing administration and/or governance compliance, and making recommendations for improvements.



Part-time Child Care Teacher

Position requires assisting the Bilingual Program Assistant, Bilingual Nurse Educator, or Parent Education Coordinator in the day to day planning and coordination of childcare. The teacher is also responsible for providing care to groups of children varying in ages from newborn to preadolescence, and for interacting and communicating with the children and parents in a positive manner. (3-15 hours per week)



Quality Outreach / Supplemental Support Specialist

On Provides technical assistance, training and resource incentives to child care providers, families and community stakeholders to increase the quality of care.  This position also entails collaborating with other agencies and organizations in the service delivery Area (SDA) of The Family Conservancy that serve parents, children and child care providers, educating them on our services..



Vice-President of Finance & Administration

In order to retain institutional knowledge, this position will be filled as a Co-Vice President until the current Vice President retires at the end of 2015 with the hope of maintaining continuity and ensuring the selected candidate has a thorough understanding of the department operations and performance of required duties.

The Vice President of Administration and Finance,  working with the President and CEO, is responsible for providing leadership for the Agency to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies; direct and oversee all the financial activities of the Agency, including: financial analysis, preparation of current financial reports and forecasts for future growth, program development and general economic outlook; directs the fiscal functions of the Agency in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management principles, guidelines and practices.
